Day 43

2nd December 2021

Forage

Showing Dad how it’s done. 😎😎

Today, they went back to the sea!

We were sent home with some further learning from Ocean School, so the kids and Liam were pumped to get back out there and forage for seaweed.

The kids were really excited to teach Daddy everything they’ve learnt so far.

They taught him to breath, and to never dive without a dive buddy.

They told him not to take his eyes off the shark if they see one, and to definitely get out if it starts fluffing its gills.

They taught him how to go straight down without make a splash, just like a whale.

And they taught him lots of different hand signs for marine life.

And guess what, they saw another stingray! They love seeing rays!

Good Daddy, taking photos for the blog before he went diving.
Harvest! This piece of seaweed is currently drying on our clothes line.

Henry VIII

We sat down with the kids to do a little history on the YouTube channel, Oversimplified.

The kids thought it was so funny.

When Henry VIII was a child, being taught by his mother, she said,

“Henry, can you say horse?”

“Hor, hor, hor, divorce!” 😂

“What? No. Ok, let’s try another one. Henry, can you say loaf of bread?”

“Lo, lo, off with her head!” 😂🤣🤣 (The kids were rolling on the floor laughing)

At this stage of our home school experience, this type of light learning is perfect for them.

The Monica Gellar in me wants to get into something heavier, but they’re not ready for that yet.

The kids are laughing & we’re having fun together.

This is perfect.

“Off with her head!”

Playdate

Mila went for a play with her oldest friend, Cohen. She’s known Cohen since she was just 3 or 4 months old. They have such a special bond.

They played cards, dug in the dirt pile, went swimming and finished up in the bath.

Not a bad afternoon.

When they were little. 😍
Super styling!
Cohen & Mila
Growing up together. So many memories.

Dad Time

Meanwhile, Liam and Lincoln went for a drive to pick up a moped. (This will be Liam’s 3rd bike!)

On the way home, they stopped for a surf.

Mila & I took Pepe for an afternoon walk which was gorgeous! (Until Pepe tried to eat a small, fluffy, white dog. 😬 He’s been doing so well, too!!)

Everyone had a great day.

And I worked from home. Wah!

Linc looks so much older in this shot.
