Day 29
12 November 2021
Death By Rocky Road

They don’t call her Chocolate Coin Nanna for nothing!
Growing up, my mum was pretty strict with our diet.
With everything!
She was one tough mama.
But she has seriously mellowed since then.
She keeps a stash of gold chocolate coins in her handbag, and she has them in her fridge too.
The name came about because at one point she would just turn up at the house, out of the blue, “Hi darlings!” blah blah, chat chat & then throw the kids a bag of coins like a pirate, and then she’d be gone!
Chocolate Coin Nanna!
So, it wasn’t a huge surprise that Mila came home last night with a bag of goodies.
We opened the bag this morning and discovered these next level rocky road treats.
She sent me the recipe.

Farm Day
Today was farm day.
Sadly, I don’t have any pictures because I had to stay home with Pepe.
Poor Pep threw up in the car on the last trip because of the winding roads.
I said, “Liam, slow down on the corners, Pepe looks green!” 🤢
Then he puked for England. 🤮 In the car. ðŸ˜
So Pepe stayed with me while I worked from home.
Liam had a great day though! 😀
He dropped the kids off and then hung out in a quaint little country town, thrifting until pick up.

The Last Straw
Ok, before I tell you what happened next, I have to set the story.
The kids have had a few days of eating whatever they like. It’s been junk food city.
They crashed.
Then had a big day in the sea.
Followed by a late night because Nanna breaks curfew & Lincoln insists on matching her bed time.
Followed by a big day outside on the farm. (In the wet).
But Dad couldn’t help himself.
On the way home, he saw a sign for a waterfall. 😲😲😲

I wasn’t there, but that’s when it kicked off.
I was there for the death rattle of the meltdown still happening when they got home.
They were late coming home, and they were wet and tired.
Poor Dad, he tried his best.
I fed them and they played on the trampoline for a while, but then someone got hurt and it ramped up again.
Urgh. I was too tired for this!!
We finally got them bathed and in bed & we’re tucked up on the sofa watching Free Guy. (Highly recommend for a fun, easy watch).
Tomorrow is Saturday & that’s a new day!
