Behold! The Bombe Alaska!

They did it.

They finished the Bombe Alaska!

After soccer last night, we purchased more eggs, and more cream of tartar and tonight they finished it off.

It doesn’t look too pretty but it worked perfectly & the ice-cream was still frozen.

I think they could have beaten the egg whites a little longer as the meringue wasn’t holding its shape very well when Linc piled it on top of the ice-cream.

Our meringue was sliding down before it went in even went in the oven!

It still managed to stay frozen though & only slightly melted on top.

He was so determined.

First, you cover the cake with the ice-cream mould.

Then, pile on the meringue & bake it in a hot oven for 10 minutes.

Voila!

The Farm

Today was our farm day.

Usually when the kids come home, they talk fast and furious about their day but today, their cousin was over to baby-sit and so we didn’t hear one, single, thing!

We were giving instructions about dinner & bedtime while they jumped all over her and Pepe was sniffing the poor girl like mad.

Fresh smells!!

While this was happening, Liam and I did a runner!

When we got home, the kids were in bed so we didn’t get to hear about their day. 😩😥
