Day 104

8th April 2022

Baby Bunnies!

There was too much excitement when they got home from the farm today!

“Mama there were baby bunnies!” Mila squealed.

“They were so tiny, they fit into your hands!” Lincoln demonstrated.

“Awe!” I cooed.

We used to have a house bunny called Lucy and we miss her so much. 😢 We all love bunnies.

“We’re allowed to carry them around all day!” Mila continued.

“Their eyes weren’t opened yet.” Linc explained.

“Really?! They must have been so little.” I said.

“Do they have names?” I continued

“Rainbow Butterflies, Luna Silk & Poison Dripper.” Mila answered.

“Poison Dripper?!” I said.

“Farmer Jim named that one and he renamed Luna Silk, Razor Face!” She added with a big belly laugh.

“But we said no, she’s Luna Silk.”

Just a wee little baby bunny cuddling a ball of wool – no big deal. 😍😍😍😍
3 baby bunnies cozied up in Mila’s beanie.
Teeny, tiny!!

It was hard to move past the bunny chatter. They were so excited!

“So, what else happened today?” I asked.

“There were baby chicks too mama!!” Mila said bursting with happiness.

“Really?” I said.

“We made them a maze out of bricks.” Mila said.

“They were so happy in there. They were running around and exploring.” She continued.

“We played the frisbee game in the forest.” Lincy said.

“Yeh, I love the frisbee game.” Mila said.

“Ooh, we also made a chocolate cake today mama!” Mila added.

Baby chick maze. 😂

Frisbee in the forest.

Meanwhile…

Liam found this AMAZING recycle warehouse in the country side.

Look at this treasure trove!!

He sent me a picture and then called me almost immediately with excitement.

Liam came home with 3 really cool bikes & we’re planning on taking them out tomorrow. 🚲🚲🚲🚲

He also went foraging for mushrooms and collected loads. (Of course!)

He’s actually planning on eating these ones and it’s freaking me out! 😦

These ones are called ‘white brain’. Ew!
The common field cap.
Theses ones are called, ‘saffron milk caps’.

Pyromaniacs

Got matches?

The fire fascination continues at the farm.

They just love blowing things up & experimenting with fire. 😂

On The Tools

Lincy just loves working with his hands.

He loves engineering, woodwork, metal work, anything where he can use tools really. 😎

This morning when I said goodbye, I told him he’d probably get to do some whittling today because it was a wet day.

“I’ll make you something.” He called out. “How about a mascara holder?”😂(Awe!)

While we were chatting about the day he said;

“Oh mum, I have something for you!”

He became frantic, “Dad where is it?”

“Here it is.” He said with relief.

He carved me a little wooden spoon. It is so cute and so well made. 💗

He’s really proud of it.

“I LOVE it!!’ I gasped.

His little face beamed up at me.

“It’s more of a stirrer.” He continued. “I couldn’t hollow it out because there’s a knot in the wood.

Note the lads in the background preparing the next pyrotechnics. 😂
