Day 182
5th September 2022
Little Chef
I woke to the sound of electric beaters!
It was 7am and Lincoln was making a tray of cupcakes. (They do cook other things, I promise!)
Soon after, I headed out to meet a new client and left them at the table to begin their core learning, with dad.
Lincoln was learning about rainforests and Mila was working on spelling & comprehension.

After this they went and did the recycling. We haven’t done it in AGES and so instead of $4 something, they got $10, each! 😂
Mila spent her money on the claw, and she almost won!
She also bought a chocolate milk.
Linc bought a Roblox gift card and bought ‘roach vision’ which he described to me but I’ve since forgotten. Something about food in the game is usually invisible but, is outlined in white, when you have roach vision(?)
We were kindly gifted a telescope and after lunch, they got it out and set it up.
Mila was first, and enjoyed looking at the flowers in the garden.

When I got home from work there were kids everywhere!
After dinner, when everyone had gone home, and it was just us we took our telescope outside and went looking for the moon.
It was so breathtaking.
Even with our little retail telescope, the magnification was incredible.
We could see the craters on the moon!
The kids were mesmerised & called out to us, in wonder.
“Mum I can see the craters on the moon!!” Cried Mila.
“WOW! Mum look!” Called Lincy.
We took these pictures through the telescope and so it really doesn’t do justice to what we could see.

Fun fact – did you know that Saturn has over 80 moons!!
The Wknd
We are so excited about the caravan!
Over the weekend we went to a dealership to look at lots and lots. Motorhomes, RV’s, camper trailers and caravans.
It was pouring with rain of course, but that didn’t dampen our mood.
The kids went berserk running in and out of all the display vans. They had the best time!
So far, we like this little retro one. (Did I tell you already?)
It’s so cute!!

Fathers Day
We woke Dad to a gift of thick, fluffy bed socks (standard) and a fancy bottle of whisky.
Then we made him a hot breakfast, fresh fruit and pancakes.
It was the full spread!
As it was a wet day, we laid around the house and watched, Back To The Future 1 and 2.
I didn’t remember it having anything in it the kids couldn’t see, although there were a couple of moments…
“Mama, what’s a peeping Tom?” Mila asked.
😬😬😬
Then Liam had a sleep in as he wasn’t feeling the best and the kids and I went out for hot cinnamon doughnuts, and a bush walk.
It’s so nice to rug up and walk through the trees on a cold day.
As we strolled along, I asked them what they wanted to do when they grew up. (I never ask them this).
“I’m going to be a veterinarian.” Mila said proudly.
“I’m going to be a dogologist.” Lincoln said.
“What’s a dogologist?” I asked curiously.
“Someone who studies dogs.” Lincy replied.
“That sounds perfect.” I said.
