Day 150
21st July 2023
Catapult

Every month we get tinker crates sent in the mail and it’s definitely a highlight.
Today’s crate was a catapult!
As they built the catapult they learnt about potential and kinetic energy.
Potential energy is a system with the potential to do work, while kinetic energy is the energy of a moving object.
The booklets enclosed are full of cool facts about the project but in the end, they learn from doing it.
They just figure it out.
They fail, they fail again, they try something else and then they crack it.

New Car
Next, they went to have a look at a car we’re thinking of buying.
We need to sell our beloved Nissan. π
The new car has a sunroof!
The kids lost their minds with excitement!!

Mushrooms

Dad couldn’t help himself.
The rain has mushrooms sprouting up everywhere!
So, off they went, and came home a box of all kinds of mushrooms.
“Chicken of the woods!” Liam says constantly. πππ

I’m not sure Linc’s enjoying holding the slimy mushrooms, Dad. π

When I got home from work I had snuggles on the sofa and while they had their computer time, I took a loooong bath.
xx
PS, these pics are from Tuesday. I asked them to get together for a nice photo.
Ha!
