Day 93

24th March 2022

The Babies

Oh Pep. When he’s not being the 2nd fastest land animal. He’s snoozing somewhere in the house.

Aged 3, 8 and 10.

We found them playing spit again this morning.

This time, Pepe was in with a paw. 🐶

When they picked me up from work here’s what I found out.

Dad took them to the library to do their core work & swap their books, and because Liam can’t go anywhere without getting a coffee first, they headed to the coffee shop where they collecte a friend’s child who was hanging around looking for something to do.

The coffee shop is always fun, and there was much goofing around. 😂

Next time you can’t find your kids…check the coffee barrels!

Library

Liam broke the kids up into two groups.

He worked with Linc first while the other two read books, and then swapped.

Then he did a little drawing exercise on paper, shaped like hands.

Art Gallery

With their core work done & dusted they went to the art gallery for a little culture.

Liam said the year 12 artwork was on display from all the local schools.

The kids really enjoyed it and he was blown away by 3 works featuring a swimmer underwater using oil on canvas.

Are they real teeth? Eww!! Liam said the kids LOVED this one. 😂
These are beautiful. So smooth.
Liam’s favourite.
These kids are talented!

The Band

They left the art gallery and were walking past a friend’s space and heard them having a jam session, so they wandered in for a private show.

My video’s won’t embed again?! Grrrr. I must need to update my app. Urgh. I hate tech stuff.

After that, they came home and chilled.

Not a bad day really! Liam was very pleased with himself having taken 33 pictures. So many, I couldn’t even use all of them!

Go Dad!

Farm school tomorrow. 🐐

Contenders: Mila 8yrs, Lincoln 10 yrs, Me (Mum), Liam (Dad), Pepe (dog)
Home School Days: 200

This blog was inspired by the film Julie & Julia, starring Meryl Streep & Amy Adams.

Julie decides she will take her love of cooking to the next level by cooking every recipe in Julia Childs French cookbook, in one year! 500 & something fancy, technical recipes!! While working full time!

Julie writes a daily blog about her time in the kitchen for herself & other amateur cooks who may, or may not be, reading along. You gotta watch it (http://thehomeschoolyear.com/about/).  Or read it here. (http://thehomeschoolyear.com/book)

I loved that she wrote every day. I loved hearing about her small everyday frustrations, with the recipes & with life. It really inspired me to throw myself into something.

The timing was perfect as we have just decided to homeschool our children as a lifestyle choice and I thought…Cool! A daily blog will be perfect!

There must be other families out there wondering if there’s another way to live? Another way to do ‘family life’?

If you’re here, then hello & welcome aboard! Please feel free to sit back & watch it all unfold. Put the kettle on & check in with us each night to see what went down and how we all got over the line. I’m sure we’ll find our rhythm, right?

Are you a homeschool family? If you’re watching the wheels fall off this thing, I’m open to your emails or comments any time. I would love them! I am very friendly, & I could use the help.

Ok, come hell or high water….I’m in. A daily blog, for 12 months. I’ll be right, here.

Kindly, Lisa x

Can we be friends?!
